The center also hosts instructional classes and lessons where you can learn photography, guitar, quilting, boxing, and other skills. The center is where you'll find the base's ITT and outdoor pool as well.

Exhibits, models, and dioramas cover the history of U.S. Army transportation from the horse-drawn wagons of the Revolutionary War to the armored vehicles used today. The museum's collection includes planes, helicopters, tugboats, landing craft, trucks, jeeps, hovercraft, and trains.

Many of these displays have connections to Langley AFB and the nearby NASA Langley Research Center. An indoor museum found at the center of the park has more than 325 models of aircraft, spacecraft, and nautical vessels. The park's wooden walkway is a great place to take in views of Newmarket Creek, where you can see herons, egrets, blackbirds, crabs, and other local wildlife. The park also has a playground.
