Breathable — wool fibres can absorb large quantities of moisture vapour then move it away to evaporate into the air. Wool clothing is extremely breathable and less prone to clamminess. Odour resistant — in contrast to synthetics, Merino wool can absorb moisture vapour, which means less sweat on your body.

Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water without feeling wet. It also absorbs and retains dyestuffs very well, helps remove sweat and absorbs odours. The matrix also creates wool's fire-resistant and antistatic properties.

Wool fiber is curly, and it can return to its original length after it is stretched or crushed. It is therefore useful in making clothing fabrics because it keeps its shape and does not wrinkle easily. Wool also takes dyes very well. It protects against both cold and wet.
