When Kate Middleton and Prince William announced their engagement in November 2010, Middleton showed off a clear polish on her nails alongside her stunning sapphire and diamond ring (which was Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana’s, engagement ring). Since then, Middleton has been frequently pictured with clear polish and often no polish at all, even seen in photos from before she became a royal.

Kate Middleton’s soft nude wedding day manicure was reportedly achieved by mixing two shades: Bourjois Rose Lounge and Essie’s 423 Allure. Along with her penchant for no nail polish or clear polish, Middleton also appears to be a fan of The Queen’s favourite soft shade, Essie’s Ballet Slippers. The duch*ess is often spotted with a pale pink shade that could very well be Essie’s Ballet Slippers or something very similar.
