Does laser therapy really work for neuropathy? ›

Laser treatment is an emergent therapy for many conditions including neuropathy. It stimulates nerve cells and promotes regeneration, helping alleviate neuropathy symptoms.

Whether used for acute or chronic pain, MLS laser therapy has an 85-90% success rate for relieving inflammation and pain, and it has no side effects.

Some patients experience infection, bruising, or bleeding, or even develop blood clots. You may experience tenderness after the procedure, or a burning, prickling sensation. Sometimes, burns occur during this procedure, and sometimes laser treatment can result in a damaged nerve or inflamed veins.

MLS is an FDA approved Class IV laser using concentrated light energy to stimulate the body's own healing process. Who is not suitable for laser? ›

Patients with autoimmune diseases are not good candidates for laser eye surgery. Many autoimmune conditions cause dry eye syndrome. A dry eye may not heal well and has a higher risk of post-surgery infection. Other conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, glaucoma or cataracts often affect results.

Laser treatments build one upon the other with the effects in the cell being cumulative. Treating too often or using too much laser power can result in reduced healing. Your laser therapist will determine the optimal treatment dose for you.
